 Microbase CTI

Microbase's latest product, the Microbase CTI, offers a reliable and cost-effective Computer-Telephony Integration (CTI) solution for CRM developers and end users alike. Built to cooperate with the successful open source Asterisk PBX, Microbase CTI is flexible and easily customizable platform for integrating the capabilities of Asterisk PBX with existing software infrastructures such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products, or for stand-alone use as an advanced and versatile queue manager for call centers.

Microbase CTI is a service-based platform that allows tight integration of VoIP telephony infrastructures based on Asterisk PBX with custom applications for use in a variety of business scenarios. Microbase CTI provides developers with a number of comprehensive APIs in Microsoft .Net technology, allowing CRM developers to interface with an advanced call center management system, which includes Agent management, advanced incoming call queueing, power dialing for outgoing calls, creation of IVRs either with a predefined set of available commands and actions or written in .Net using an easily integrateable API, real time monitoring through Windows' Performance Counters, and a comprehensive logging system for producing detailed and extensive statistics.

Microbase CTI can also be used as an advanced replacement for the Asterisk queue manager, with the provision of voice-driven agent management, an easily customizable XML-based IVR system, system monitoring through standard Windows Performance Counter sets and a package of comprehensive statistical reports.

Its features include among others:

  • High availability and minimal overhead: The operation of the CTI service does not pose overhead on the operation of the telephony infrastructure, and every part of the platform can be redundant in order to provide high availability solutions. The ability to connect to and control multiple interconnected Asterisk servers allows the development of load balancing and fault tolerant provisioning of services.
  • Independence from presentation method: The CTI is service-oriented, so that it can operate autonomously without a GUI. The interaction with the system is achieved via custom integration with other business software, like CRM solutions, through a set of intuitive APIs. API documentation and support is available.
  • Minimal  configuration required: The CTI service can be attached to the Asterisk servers with minimal configuration and from there on it handles the CTI-related settings automatically
  • Detailed statistics: The system provides real-time access to both aggregate and granular statistics about various aspects of the system, allowing easy monitoring and overview of activity.
  • Platform independence: The implementation of the system is performed on the .NET Framework, allowing it to operate on a multitude of hardware and operating system platforms.
  • Support for SQL Server database backend: The CTI configuration and other related settings, as well as detailed logs, are stored on an SQL server database. Oracle and PostgreSQL database support available.
